Terms & Conditions for Shopping, Delivery and Assembly

These Terms & Conditions apply to all agreements for the purchase, delivery and assembly of all products ordered by the Customer and purchased, delivered and assembled by Shop Drop Assemble.

Shop Drop Assemble's quote together with these Terms & Conditions constitutes the entire agreement between Shop Drop Assemble and the Customer.

Unless otherwise agreed, Shop Drop Assemble's quotes remain valid for 14 days.

The Customer acknowledges that Shop Drop Assemble is independent of and separate from the retailer where the goods are purchased. 

Shopping & Delivery

The Customer acknowledges the acceptance of Shop Drop Assemble's written or verbal quotation to shop for and deliver products constitutes an agreement subject to these Terms & Conditions.  

Payment for shopping and delivery services is in advance via cheque, Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, or direct deposit. Shop Drop Assemble must receive confirmation of payment not later than Friday night, prior to delivery on Sunday (unless another delivery day is specified).

Unless otherwise advised, delivery is on Sunday for those destinations between Logan and Ballina, and is by agreement for other destinations.

Shop Drop Assemble does not accept responsibility for any delays that are outside our control. 

Shop Drop Assemble does not accept any responsibility if the Customer provides the wrong delivery address. 

The Customer accepts complete responsibility for providing a delivery location that is safe and dry. Shop Drop Assemble does not take any responsibility for the Customer's goods after delivery.

The Customer warrants the delivery address is accessible by normal two-wheel-drive vehicles.  

The Customer warrants the delivery location is not more than 40 metres from the location where the delivery vehicle must park, and the delivery location is accessible by trolley if any individual package in the Customer's order weighs more than 40 kg.

The Customer warrants that if the delivery location is on the first or any higher storey of a multi-storey building that the delivery location has lift access.

If Shop Drop Assemble is not advised in advance that normal vehicle access is limited, the delivery location is more than 40 metres from normal vehicle parking, trolley access is restricted (when a package weighs more than 40 kg), or there is no lift access to a multi-storey building, Shop Drop Assemble reserves the right to cancel the Customer's order, or leave the Customer's order at the nearest accessible point. If a Shopping & Delivery order is cancelled because of access issues, Shop Drop Assemble will refund the Customer for the value of goods ordered, less the cost of shopping and delivery multiplied by two (to cover the cost of both delivering and returning the goods). If a Delivery-only order is cancelled because of access issues, Shop Drop Assemble reserves the right to leave the Customer's order at the nearest accessible point.

Shop Drop Assemble will not accept more than one delivery address per order.

In the event a product that has been ordered by the Customer is not available Shop Drop Assemble will notify the Customer. If a product is not available, Shop Drop Assemble reserves the right at any time to cancel the order and give the Customer a full refund. If Shop Drop Assemble's does not cancel the order, the Customer can then choose to continue the order or cancel their order. If the Customer continues their order pending availability of the product Shop Drop Assemble will look for the product every week and forward the Customer updates about when he/she can expect it, or cancel the order and refund the Customer in full. If the Customer cancels their order they will be given a refund, less a $10 search and administration fee.

Shop Drop Assemble does not accept any responsibility for faulty goods provided by retailers.

In the case of faulty goods purchased by Shop Drop Assemble on behalf of the Customer (the Shopping & Delivery Service), Shop Drop Assemble will assist the Customer to exchange the faulty product according to the retailer's terms and conditions and without charging any additional delivery charges. Shop Drop Assemble will help arrange refunds or exchanges for faulty products according to the retailer's terms and conditions. It is the Customer's responsibility to check the retailer's website for details of the retailer's terms and conditions. 

In the case of faulty goods received by the Customer via Shop Drop Assemble's Delivery-only service it is the Customer's responsibilty to manage returns. In the case where the Customer has used IKEA's Click & Collect service and Shop Drop Assemble has provided a delivery-only service Shop Drop Assemble will, at the request of the Customer, return and exchange the Customer's goods for the original delivery charge X 2. 

Shop Drop Assemble does not accept any responsibility if the Customer wishes to exchange a non-faulty product he/she has ordered. It is the Customer's responsibility to measure and carefully choose the product he/she wants. If the Customer wishes to return a product that is not faulty and receive a refund Shop Drop Assemble will return the product and process the refund but will charge the Customer an additional fee that is equivalent to the original delivery fee, plus a service charge. If the Customer chooses to exchange a product that is not faulty Shop Drop Assemble will charge the Customer a service charge plus an additional fee both for the return of the product and for the new delivery. It is the Customer's responsibility to check the retailer's website for details of the retailer's terms and conditions.

Shop Drop Assemble does not take any responsibility for increases in prices that occur in the time period between the Customer receiving their quote from Shop Drop Assemble and the time Shop Drop Assemble attempts to purchase the product(s) that have been ordered. If there is an increase in price Shop Drop Assemble will attempt to advise the Customer as soon as possible, but will not make the purchase until the Customer authorises Shop Drop Assemble to proceed and payment of the additional amount required is confirmed. If the Customer chooses to cancel an order because of a price increase Shop Drop Assemble will give the Customer a full refund.

Assembly

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes and agreements for assembly of all products.

The Customer acknowledges the acceptance of Shop Drop Assemble's written or verbal quote for assembly of products constitutes an agreement that is subject to these Terms & Conditions. 

The Customer acknowledges that Shop Drop Assemble may engage sub-contractors to provide the assembly service. The Customer acknowledges that Shop Drop Assemble will exercise all due care and responsibility when choosing sub-contractors but is not responsible in any way for the actions of any sub-contractor. 

Shop Drop Assemble and the Customer will agree to a specific time for the assembly process, but Shop Drop Assemble accepts no responsibility if circumstances outside its control require this time to be changed.

The Customer must cancel any booking at least 24 hours prior to the specific time for the assembly process that has been agreed. Any cancellation less than 24 hours before the agreed time may attract a cancellation fee of $60. 

All products for assembly must be complete and in their original packaging. Shop Drop Assemble is not responsible for any faulty or missing parts.

All assembly work is performed at the Customer's address. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure a clean and appropriate work space is available for the assembler on their arrival. It is the Customer's responsibility to establish the suitability of the available work space in advance and in consultation with Shop Drop Assemble.  

It may be necessary to move furniture at the Customer's address to create a work space for assembly. Unless otherwise specified, agreed Shop Drop Assemble's quote does not include the labour costs for moving new or existing furniture at the Customer's address.

Shop Drop Assemble accepts no responsibility or liability for any property damage that may result from moving new or existing furniture. 

Shop Drop Assemble and its sub-contractors must wear protective shoes at all times. It is the Customer's responsibility to protect floor surfaces. 

Shop Drop Assemble reserves the right to review its quote and vary charges. Any requirement to vary Shop Drop Assemble's original quote identified by Shop Drop Assemble or its sub-contractors upon arrival at the Customer's address shall be brought to the Customer’s attention and the job will be re-quoted prior to the commencement of work. If the Customer is not satisfied with the new quote and elects to cancel the job a $60 call-out fee shall be charged.

The Customer shall within 24-hours of completion of assembly inspect and notify Shop Drop Assemble of any defects in the product. Failure to inspect and notify Shop Drop Assemble within 24 hours of any defects shall be deemed to be acceptance of the product and Shop Drop Assemble's assembly service by the Customer. 

Unless otherwise specified and agreed Shop Drop Assemble's assembly quote does not include the costs of removing and disposing of packaging and other waste materials.

The Customer acknowledges that manufacturers recommend some furniture items are firmly fixed to a wall. Shop Drop Assemble accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever in the event the Customer requests Shop Drop Assemble to not secure the furniture per the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Payment by cash, Visa or MasterCard must be received immediately on completion of assembly.
